Chronicles of a Word Weaver, Pt 2

Hello, Bienvenido, Welina, and Aloha!

I wanted to drop a quick note today to ensure those lovely folks among you who follow and subscribe are updated. Unfortunately, there will be no video today. I know—sad clown face.

I do apologize. However, being riddled with untreated ADHD, I found myself distracted this past week as I was writing out some comic book scripts. I have seven written out, and if my outline is correct (which, as a writer, meh), I should be just starting to craft 3 to 5 years’ worth of monthly stories.

I’ll have to work on getting an illustrator. Which I am in the process of doing.

Tomorrow (3/20/2024), I will post about the legal issues surrounding satire and comedy. I’ll discuss several landmark cases where the powers that be attempted to silence satire and failed, and I will highlight comedy’s greatest martyr, Lenny Bruce.

Starting Friday, I will release a story, one chapter at a time, initially intended to be a novel. But I want to share as much as I can without charging. So, please also enjoy “Escape from the Ninth Circle,” a satirical sequel far too long in the making of Dante’s Inferno.

While whimsical and absurdist, the storydiscusses several real-world issues, ranging from prison reform, the nature of penance, and forgiveness, while highlighting that eternal punishment and an all-forgiving God cannot coexist. Those concepts bump.

Stay tuned for “Escape from the Ninth Circle,” premiering this Friday, March 22, 2024.

Until next time, Faithful adventurers.
